Samhain, less than a week away & counting!

This year's Samhain Ritual will be a first for me, not just being a High Priest leading the Ritual along with my High Priestess, Berkana, but the first actual Samhain Ritual that I will be participating in. Last year with my old Coven, we did a Dia de los Muertos Celebration on Samhain, which was pretty cool to honor our dead ancestors, but this year it is down to the Pagan basics....with a Samhain Ritual. Samhain is the night where the veil between the living & the dead are at it's thinnest. This is the night when communication between both worlds has the best chance to happen. This year, my Coven will be having our 1st ever Samhain Ritual together. We will be honoring our ancestors as well as Banishing any bad habits & welcoming a positive replacement for the bad. I have written out the rough draft of the Ritual & after our Coven's Full Moon Ritual on Thursday, I will go over it with my HPS, then draft a final copy. We will be doing our Ritual outside & will be on the edge of Pennypack Park which will add to the effects to be more like our ancestors practiced, outside with the elements & nature! I will let everyone know how it went next week!
